"It appeared a bit deserted and off the beaten path, I wondered if I might run into questionable characters. Near the staircase it appeared there might be some structural damage on the upper walkway. When we entered the room it smelled clean and fresh. The television channels were not very clear. There were not enough soaps/shampoos for us and if we had not brought our own would have had to call to front desk for more. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off the wall the first time we touched it. There was a continental breakfast advertised from 6 - 9 AM, However when I arrived at 6:10 AM the breakfast area was locked and after a few minutes the clerk came in and began making coffee and then set out some cold donuts and a loaf of raisin bread. My mother said she saw a roach in the room while she was getting ready the day of check out. The people were very nice and friendly and even allowed my mom to stay in the room past checkout while she waited for me to return from my meeting. I was worried that she would be stuck in the lobby, which had no television, only some flyers from local attractions for reading."
